SkatteFUNN

SkatteFUNN (Tax Deduction for Research and Development in an Innovative Business Sector) is a rights-based tax deduction scheme for Norwegian companies. You can apply for a tax deduction for 19 per cent of the costs of a research and development project. The scheme is administered by the Research Council of Norway, in collaboration with the Norwegian Tax Administration.

Reporting for SkatteFUNN in 2025: The deadline is 13 March

This year, reporting for SkatteFUNN projects will take place in a new system: My page. We published reporting forms for the projects on Friday 14 and Monday 17 February.  We also sent a message by e-mail after it was done.

Project moving from old to new solution

All the SkatteFUNN projects that were previously on My RCN Webhave now been moved to our new system: My Page. We sent out information by email on 17 February, after the move had been completed and it was ready for reporting in the new solution. The e-mail explains what you need to do to find the project and report. Read the e-mail.

    Companies of all sizes, industries and company types that are registered in the Brønnøysund Register Centre and are liable to pay tax in Norway can apply for SkatteFUNN. Check if your company is eligible.
