Purpose

This is a notification of an upcoming call for proposals. We will publish more information before summer 2024.

The purpose of this call is to establish four to six research centres for artificial intelligence (AI centres) that will conduct research on high-quality artificial intelligence and address important societal and industry-related challenges. The AI centres will collectively cover the three tracks ─ impacts, technology and innovation. The three tracks overlap and must be seen in context. Read the description of the three tracks and the AI billion (in Norwegian).

Submission of an outline by the deadline of 7 June 2024 is mandatory and is the first part of the application process for this call. Applications for this call that are not based on a submitted outline submitted by the deadline will be rejected.
