Values of the Ocean
Values of the Ocean is an official contribution to the UN Decade of Ocean Science. The programme will involve researchers from all disciplines, industry, the public sector and other and international cooperation will be important.
The programme consists of The Research Council of Norway's existing efforts on ocean, relevant for reaching the Ocean Decades goals, and the proposal "The UN Decade of Ocean Science – proposed priority areas" (pdf in Norwegian).
The programme consists of the following ten areas:

Keeping the Arctic in one piece

Everyone understands the ocean.
The goal of the programme is to contribute to reach SDG 14 – life below water, and the Ocean Decades seven Decade Outcomes.
Cooperation between research disciplines, sectors and countries will be central.
Values of the Ocean became an endored contribution to the Ocean Decade on June 8, 2021. The Research Council of Norway's Ocean Secretariat is responsible for the programme.
